Notes (this edition)? The following information was taken from the original web listing of this artwork. Often written by non-experts, there may be inaccuracies:

This is a small woodcut in colors done by artist Kaoru Kawano. A pop art rendition of a young girl holding a small Japanese fan. Interesting use of woodgrain texture as negative space. Minimalistic use of lines and simple form but without failing to capture a distinct expression on the child's face. Rich in color and style using only Burgundy, Black and White. A very stimulating image!

No marks on the front however back has two original tags one which reads "Wood-block print By K. Kawano" The other tag is what appears to be the hand signed name of the artist done in pencil…

Artist Bio: Kaoru Kawano was a very popular artist for his distinctively styled depictions of figures, especially children. He uses the wood grain patterns to lender the textures and the mood to the works.
